Win 95二十周年庆福利大放送啦，在20年前的今天，微软发布了跨时代的32位操作系统Windows 95，而它对于该操作系统的影响和意义都相当深远。为了纪念Windows 95发布二十周年，该公司决定向大家赠送另一份礼物——滚石乐队在1981年推出的主打歌《Start Me Up》的一份免费副本。
滚石与微软的这一合作可追溯到Windows 95刚推出的时候，在发布会上，微软与乐队达成了合作，并用这首歌曲来凸显“开始菜单”的魅力。
这首歌曲还被用于一段1分钟长的视频短片，里面展示了都有哪些人在1980年代的纽约使用基于Windows的设备。

有传闻称，为了这次推广活动，微软向滚石乐队支付了三百万美金的歌曲使用费。普吉特海湾商业杂志曾摘录了Bob Herbold所说的一句话：“对于微软来说，花2亿美元来推广Windows 95实为破天荒之举。这家公司聘请了位于波特兰市的Wieden & Kennedy广告公司，并且首次在电视上做了广告。
当然，最具讽刺或纪念意义的是，在诞生20年之后，开始菜单仍然是Windows操作系统的一大卖点。
